Operator and offering
WannaHunt (wannahunt.app) is a private, non-commercial project run by a single individual. It currently operates without an intent to make a profit; the optional "Hunt Pass" add-on is built into the code but not yet enabled for real payment (no live payment provider).
Note: once Hunt Passes are actually sold commercially for money, this offering will likely need to be classed as commercial. At that point additional information will likely be required, including:
- commercial register, register court and register number (if a company is formed), or a note that this is a sole proprietorship,
- VAT identification number under § 27a UStG (if any),
- the dispute-resolution section below becomes mandatory rather than informational.
These are deliberately left out while the offering stays non-commercial. [REVIEW before enabling payments]
Liability for content
As a service provider we are responsible for our own content on these pages under the general laws, per § 7(1) DDG. Under §§ 8 to 10 DDG, however, we are not obliged as a service provider to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information or to investigate circumstances that indicate illegal activity. Obligations to remove or block the use of information under general law remain unaffected. Liability in this regard is only possible from the point in time at which a concrete infringement becomes known. Upon becoming aware of any such infringement, we will remove the relevant content immediately.
Liability for links
Our offering contains links to external third-party websites (for example, map data from OpenStreetMap), the content of which we have no influence over. We therefore cannot accept any liability for this external content. The respective provider or operator of a linked page is always responsible for its content. Permanent monitoring of linked pages is not reasonable without concrete evidence of an infringement. Upon becoming aware of any infringement, we will remove such links immediately.
Dispute resolution
Note: the following is required under Art. 14(1) ODR Regulation and § 36 VSBG only for commercial offers to consumers. While WannaHunt is not run commercially (see above), it is informational.
The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR): https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. Our email address is listed above under Contact.
We are not obliged, and not willing, to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. [REVIEW once Hunt Passes are sold commercially]
